Andy Beal is asking if Viacom has a vendetta against Google. As I read this, here is what I came up with.

  • Xfire was acquire by Viacom on April 25th, 2006 for $100M. David Lawee is a co-founder of Xfire. David is VP marketing at Google and was at the time of the acquisition.  Sounds like these guys should be best friends.
  • It looks like growth at Xfire has stalled, not that Alexa (my source) is entirely accurate.
  • From changes in the PR footer, it appears David left Xfire in the summer of 2004.

I'm betting there are more dots to connect, but clearly these guys should be getting along.
